Introduction; Used iPhone
A used iPhone should be checked before buying. Here I have the old iPhone model for you, today we give you some testing to get a good old used iPhone. The first thing I usually check is to turn the phone on and off to make sure the phone can reboot without any problems.
Hello, Reader,
Today we discuss the most trending topic, “used iPhone buying guide”. In this century it’s quite more popular, At this time one wants Apple devices and enjoys the powerful world in finger steps.
So, Without wasting a single time let’s start the blog.
Turn on and off the phone
Just hold down the side button to turn off the phone. And then the volume up button on the iPhone Xs that I have here or on any new iPhone. And then you get this pop-up that says to power off the slide. And then we go ahead and power it down so it takes 10-15 seconds to power down. And once it’s completely closed we’ll move on. And will turn it back on.
This is important because if a phone has some faulty hardware or internal electronics it won’t boot properly. So we do this first step and then when we know it’s completely off. Then we will hold the power button on the side until we see the Apple logo. And that means the phone is booting up again so we’re going to give it another second or two while we press the power button here.
Buttons
The next test is just checking that all the buttons are working. As such the first button I should usually check is the vibrator or silent mode. You will hear a slight vibration when you turn it on and off. So you just go up and down, which should do the vibration you want to check. The next thing you want to confirm is the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons.
Make sure these buttons are not jammed in any way and then the next button you want to check is the power button or the one that turns the phone off. Gives rotates to the lock screen so this is also important and if you have an older generation phone I would confirm. Here will check the home button to make sure the home button isn’t sticking or has a problem so it’s the physical thing you want to check.
Good cameras
What I usually want to test on a used phone is the front. And to make sure the rear camera is working we are just going to open the camera app. And then I don’t want to see the picture. Blurry on the back camera or something like that. And then we also take a look at the front camera and do a visual inspection to make sure it’s working.
And we see if the front and rear cameras are working. Then we are going to check other features. Like slow-mo time-lapse just to make sure everything is working as it should. On the new iPhone XS and some newer phones, you have portrait mode. And then notice the square and panel so it’s a quick test for the camera.
GPS & Location
You want to make sure the camera is working. The next thing I usually want to do is check some sensors like GPS. So you want to make sure the phone knows where you are so to do that just open the map app. And then once you open the Maps app, you tell the app to use your location.
Allow and only you’re going to click this button to make sure it’s where it says it is near your location. And if it doesn’t show that the GPS isn’t working you need to make sure the phone can do it.
microphone speaker
Things to check on our checklist are microphones and speakers. You want to open the recording feature for voice memos and then once you open it you want to record a voicemail. So just click this red button and then you can see that it makes a noise here.
That means the recording is working so the mic is good and then to ensure it’s working. We can play it back on the speaker so it turns the volume up. And then I’ll hit play here and then you’ll see that it’s raised the noise here so you can see. That recording is yes, we were able to test the microphone and speakers.
WiFi & Network
I wanted to check out the Wi-Fi, so sometimes the phone if the Wi-Fi antenna is broken. or broken or not working but go to your settings once to check it won’t pick up a Wi-Fi signal. You are going to click on Wi-Fi and then you want to connect to a Wi-Fi. If you can connect to one just see if you can see a list of Wi-Fi here. As you can see the phone can see all this Wi-Fi here.
And Wi-Fi can take a note of power so if you’re close to Wi-Fi it should be at about three full bars. When we are in the settings Wi-Fi is better than we can sign in iCloud or the phone to your iCloud. And it’s known that iCloud lock is something you want to stay away from on those phones because they can’t be easily fixed in any way. And if you don’t own the phone, Apple won’t help you so it’s a built-in security. What’s stolen or whatnot to verify Apple so you can see? We can sign in or you can follow the steps here.
Battery Health
What we want to test is the battery of the phone so with the new iOS. Go to settings to check battery health. And then the battery and then you want to look at this battery health. And you’re going to click it once you click you’ll notice that this whole battery health is evident right there.
You’ll notice that it’s 90 percent here, which means it’s a good one and the battery is good for us to use the phone normally this battery percentage you want to be over 80. This is the point here Apple recommends changing the battery if it’s below 80 for a used phone it’s going to be below 100 because of course it’s a used phone.
